Position Justification Position Information Position Title Director, Procurement & Property Control Unit Name Resources Management Salary Grade 9 Number of Months 12 months Full-time or Part-time Full-Time Hours per week 40 Proposed Annual Salary, Hourly Rate or One-time paymentEssential Duties Maintains a master inventory for the University by assuring that state statutes, regulations and procedures are followed in regard to additions and deletions of fixed assets Oversees the State Department of Audit fixed assets audit Performs pre-audit of all campus property twice a year Supervises and coordinates activities of campus Mail Services Monitors USPS account balances, reserve account balances and prepares requests to fund USPS and reserve accounts Manages the University receiving and ensures that all freight is recorded and verified prior to delivery to the appropriate department Manages the purchasing, procurement, and contracting program including the University Procurement Card Program Manages the RFP process and request for quotes/bids following State statutes, regulations, and procedures Processes purchase orders for both MUW and MSMS Supervises student workers Performs other reasonable duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; professional knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree required Five (5) years in purchasing, procurement and property control at a state agency required Certified Mississippi Purchasing Agent Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite Enhanced communication and interpersonal skills Job Description Summary Responsible for the areas of purchasing; receiving; property control; and manages Mail Services.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
